Paul Neil McCorvy

Paul Neil McCorvy, 74, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born December 7, 1943, in Port Arthur, to Leola Cravey McCorvy and Eddie Lee McCorvy.

Paul was a United States Air Force veteran that enjoyed keeping up with politics and current events. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, duck hunting, carpentry, and traveling. He was very supporting of his grandchildren and their school events. Most of all, he wanted everyone to know he loved God and wanted everyone else to know God. He was committed to being a lifelong learner.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Brenda Sue McCorvy; son, Paul Lynn McCorvy and his wife, Alicia; daughter, Paula Gaspard; grandchildren, Brittian Paul Gaspard and Connor, Allie, and Thomas Jude McCorvy; brother, Eddie McCorvy and his wife, Shirley; nephews, Michael McCorvy and Patrick McCorvy and his wife, Cheri, all of Nederland; and several great-nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. McCorvy’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2018, at Willow Grove Cemetery, Joaquin, Texas.

Judith Kay Davis

July 29, 1944 – September 6, 2018

 

Judi Kay “Nane” Sackett passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 6, 2018. She was born July 28, 1944 in Vidor, Texas to Edmund M. and Myrtle (Kay) Davis. Judi was a Senior Consultant at AT&T from 1997 until her retirement in 2016. She was a long-time volunteer of the Pioneer family at AT&T as well as many other charitable organizations.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edmund, Jr. and Don and her sister, Lisa Davis. Judi is survived by her daughter, Laura Sackett Fuller and her husband, David; her granddaughters, Kristin Dell and her husband, Steve and Kacey Fuller; her great grandchildren, Gavin and Audrey; her sisters, Linda Davis Fitzpatrick and her husband, Charlie and Cathi Davis Brandon; her nephews and niece, Shawn Harper and Jennifer Harper and Darren Brandon. Nane’s many loves were her granddaughters, her great grandchildren as well as her AT&T family.

A Celebration of Judi’s Life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels Stone Oak, 23755 US Highway 281 North.

Jimmy Don Perritt, 74, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2018, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2018, at United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend John W. Harrell and Reverend Ted Buxton. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Groves.

Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018, at United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 31, 1943, he was the son of Olan Perritt and Ruth O’Neal. Jimmy loved hot rods as a teenager. Jimmy proudly served his country in the Air National Guard beginning in 1965 and later retired from the Coast Guard in 1988. He was a very hard worker. He worked at the Port Arthur Fire Department, went on to work at Jefferson Chemical in 1965, and later retired from Huntsman in 2000. He then started a new career at CBH Marine Services in Orange, where he worked for 10 years. He was a longstanding member of United Pentecostal Church, where he was an usher, and he was dearly loved by his church family. Jimmy was very talented musician, who played piano by ear, played bass guitar at church, and could play any horn instrument. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Olan Perritt; mother and step-father, Ruth and John Broussard; beloved grandparents, Otis and Myrtie O’Neal; niece, Shawn Marie Ramon; father-in-law, Bobby Long; and Pa and Nanny Long.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Perritt of Port Arthur; mother-in-law, Kathleen Tweedel of Beaumont; son, Glenn Perritt and wife Mellissa of Orange; daughter, Julie Perritt Diakos and husband Paul of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Frank Salmon, Captain Robert Perritt, Jr. and wife Kelsey, Jacob Perritt and Maddie, Jenna Golden and husband Zachary, Christian Diakos, Kyle Diakos, and Jenna Leonards and husband Blaise; great-grandchildren, Ayden Perritt, Brendan Salmon, Reagan Perritt, Jaydon Perritt, Karsin Hall, Laykin Perritt, Zachary Golden II, Arya Perritt, Leighton Granger, Easton Leonards, and Preston Leonards; sisters, Linda McAdams of Groves, and Debbie Spiris of Channelview; and brother, David Broussard of Nederland.

Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Salmon, Captain Robert Perritt, Jacob Perritt, Christian Diakos, Josh Tweedel, Keith Ainsworth, and Carl Hottendorf. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Holston, Dennis King, and his 11 great-grandchildren.

Lonnet J. Gaspard, 74, of Winnie, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 26, 1943 to his parents, Doris Joseph Gaspard and Annie Mae Hargrave Gaspard in Kaplan, Louisiana. Lonnet has been a resident of the Winnie area for the last 22 years. He retired from the Port of Houston as maintenance supervisor after 22 years of service.

He is survived by his son, Lonnie Gaspard and his wife, Diane of San Leon, his two daughters, Shelly Harrington and her husband, Mark of Kingwood, April Carpenter of Spring, 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Lonnet is also survived by his two sisters, Connie Vara and her husband, Oscar of Winnie, Diana Kelley and her husband, Eugene of Winnie, his brother, Ray Gaspard and his wife, Ouida of Warren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Memorial Service will be at 3:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson.

Joseph “Joe” Dominick Graffio, 74, of Port Arthur, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018. 

Joe was born July 20, 1943 in Port Arthur to the late, Frank and Lena Graffio. Joe served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War and was retired from Huntsman with 19 years of service. He was currently employed with Gulfcoast Steel and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur.


Joe leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Cindy Graffio of Port Arthur; two daughters, Gidget Bridegam and her husband Brint of Bridge City, and Bridget Farmer and her husband Kent of Richmond; his grandchildren, Tyler Bridegam and Kaitlyn Bridegam of Bridge City; his brother, Vic Graffio of Port Arthur and his sister, Jeanie Roy of Ohio; his sister-in-law Charmain Taylor and her husband Tommy of Groves.


A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland. Funeral services will be Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
